Junior Training starts again!

Posted by Chris Nightingale on 25 March 2021

With two different lockdowns interrupting and playing havoc with the hockey season, we can’t wait to get our juniors back up to St George’s to get stick back on ball.

Despite the lockdown in November, we were still able to get most of our coaching sessions in just before Christmas, and with organised sport set to commence from the 29th March, this is the perfect opportunity to make up for sessions that we lost in January and February. These sessions will run through Easter and into the summer.

We are always open to new players that want to join the club, with further information on how to join HERE

The session times will be as follows.

6 – 7.20 pm - U8’s, U10’s and U12’s
7.30 – 9 pm - U14 and U16’s

More detail about training and Covid Guidence are in our Junior Training section found HERE

To find out more about what some of our players have been up to over the last few months, we have spoken to Josh and Eddie Sykes who play in our Under 14 and Under 12 age groups and are both also involved in the Shropshire AC programme.

Did you get anything hockey related for Christmas?

Both: Yes, we both got a new Y1 stick, a ball and a facemask each for short corners!
