INVOLVING THE RIGHT PEOPLE (DBS CHECKS/TRAINING)

All adults that work with young people in hockey are in a position of trust which has been invested in them by parents, the sport and the young person. This relationship can be described as one in which the adult is in a position of power and influence by virtue of their position.
Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Checks
A DBS check enables England Hockey and it’s clubs/associations to make informed recruitment decisions. Any individuals wishing to work with young people in hockey are required to undertake and enhanced DBS check and child barred list check.
